I lost 7 pounds in the first two months. Mostly from the amount of work we have to do. Lots of heavy lifting and quick intense action. Moving wall in and out. Moving set pieces here and there. Using muscles to walk on ice that I’ve never moved before. So the real deal is that I’m not losing lots of fat, just gaining lots of muscle. I also eat better than I ever did on land. Even though I have a lot of ice cream and lots of desserts, the main meals have more Salad and more protein.
So I’d like to skip to the good stories because to be honest I don’t want to write about my first contract while I’m in my 2nd contract of working on the ship. So I’ll get the highlights out of the way and get this story over with in quick fashion. I’m already planning for bigger and better adventures.
It’s about two months into my contract. I really want to lose weight now. I want to get ripped and make sure my health gets in tip top shape. So I start going to the gym. To make this a real thing I decide to have a 90 day make over. That means, that once I pass my 90 days on the ship, meaning that I become a full employee, I will get a hair cut, shave my goatee, try to lost as much weight as quickly as possible, and get a back wax.
One of the light techs, Randal, agrees to help me lose 20 pounds in 20 days. His exercises put me through the ringer but in a good way. I end up with more energy and really enjoy going to the gym. Around this time I see a notice that there will be a Mr. and Ms. Freedom beauty pageant. So of course I sign up.
